Mission Statement
We are a liberation-focused therapy and consulting practice offering affirming care for marginalized individuals.
As a collective, we are committed to the highest level of clinical integrity, economic & social justice, and living our values – not only through the services we offer, but in how we run our business as a whole. We prioritize autonomy, transparency, and fair compensation for our clinicians, because healing happens best in systems that care for everyone involved.
At Chosen Path Collective, inclusive and affirming support for BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S+, and neurodiverse humans is our baseline.
We will work with you, collaboratively, and not make assumptions about your identity, family structure, or lived experiences.
Founded in progressive, feminist and anti‑oppressive principles, we create spaces of shared empowerment where clients reclaim agency over their lives and clinicians reclaim agency over their work.
We practice transparency, mutual care, and community investment so everyone who walks our path experiences liberation, connection, and lasting growth.
Values
Affirming, Identity‑Centered Care![]()
We recognize and honor your identity and lived experience from the very first session – so you never have to pause to explain pronouns, family structure, or culture before the real work begins.
Resistance & Liberation![]()
We challenge systems that exploit, pathologize, or silence by building alternatives: We want to normalize offering affirming care as a baseline. We want to prove that it’s possible to pay clinicians at a rate that reflects the importance of the work they perform (within the limits of insurance structures- and we’re committed to challenging that, too) and offer benefits that support work/life balance – because when our clinicians feel supported, our clients can receive the very best care – everyone wins.
Anti-Oppressive Practice![]()
We fully acknowledge the existence of racism, ableism, transphobia, classism, and all forms of oppression – and center our work around acknowledging and deconstructing these barriers within ourselves and the world at large.
Mutual Thriving![]()
Humans first, titles second. We invest profits back into fair wages, supervision, education, and benefits for the people who make this work possible. No one at the practice ‘makes more’ until we can all ‘make more.’ We value each individual’s contributions and believe that everyone benefits when all people are paid well and experience work/life balance.
Radical Transparency![]()
Direct and honest conversations are our default. Finances, decision‑making, and feedback loops are open for collective review. We aren’t afraid of hard conversations, especially when it results in personal growth.
Education as Empowerment![]()
We demystify the business side of therapy, equipping clinicians with the knowledge to build sustainable, self‑directed careers. We see value in investing in the growth of our clinicians and staff, even if and when that means they’ll grow beyond our practice.
Mutual Trust![]()
Autonomy is not earned, it’s assumed. We trust our team to know their limits, set boundaries, and choose the paths that fit their lives. We lead with trust. We hire people who we believe in. We don’t approach issues from a punitive, authoritarian point of view; we believe that everyone is doing their best and when they aren’t able to show up fully for work, we don’t make their lives harder, we offer support and guidance.
“Paths are more than metaphors — they do lead places and, along the way, do reveal us to ourselves in ways inconceivable at the outset, unattainable at home.”
– Maria Popova
Every month, we support different organizations and causes that matter to us. It’s our way of turning values into action and giving back to the communities we serve.
