Meet Kaelyn

Hi! My name is Kaelyn (she/her), and I’m a biracial (Black and white), neurodivergent therapist and licensed social worker. I offer a healing space that affirms LGBTQIA2S+, BIPOC, and neurodivergent experiences, and I approach therapy through an anti-oppressive, liberation-centered lens. I strive to meet each person with warmth, honesty, and deep respect, honoring the wisdom you already carry while unlearning systems that ask us to disconnect from ourselves.

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

I specialize in working with folks navigating OCD and anxiety. In our work together, I’ll gently encourage you to move through fear rather than around it. When treating OCD specifically, I primarily use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), which is considered the gold standard for OCD treatment. Depending on your unique needs, I may also draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and somatic practices to help you feel more connected to yourself and aligned with your values. I know some of this might sound intimidating, but I’ll be right there alongside you, helping you face fear in a way that feels doable, collaborative, and grounded in your autonomy.

Self-Worth & Relationship Security

I also love supporting people who are exploring their self-worth or trying to feel more secure in relationships. If you find yourself overthinking, people-pleasing, or struggling to trust yourself or others, I’ll provide support for that while gently challenging the patterns that may be keeping you stuck.

Life Transitions & Identity Development

Throughout my career in both inpatient and outpatient settings, I’ve worked with adults across the lifespan. I have particular experience supporting older adults and their caregivers, thanks to my background in inpatient geriatric mental health. I also enjoy working with teens and young adults, especially BIPOC and neurodivergent youth who are figuring out who they are in a world that doesn’t always make space for their full selves.

As a neurodivergent therapist, I show up authentically in the room. That might mean losing my train of thought or pausing to regulate or reset, and I don’t mask that on purpose. I believe it’s powerful to model that it’s okay to be human, to be neurodivergent, and to take up space as your full self. My style is strengths-based and often includes humor and a collaborative spirit. I’m flexible in how directive I am during sessions. If you’re looking for more structure, I can offer clear suggestions based on your goals. If you prefer to guide the process yourself, I’m just as comfortable stepping back and following your lead.

Kaelyn Outside of the Therapy Room:

Outside of the therapy room, you can find me hanging out with my cat (her name is Elle Woods), enjoying a good ole emo or metalcore night (Motionless in White and Ice Nine Kills are some of my favorites), or rewatching my comfort show while playing Candy Crush.
