Meet Casey

I am a white, queer, nonbinary therapist based out of Pittsburgh, PA. My identity also includes being chronically ill, disabled, and neurodiverse. I have seen both first hand through my own experiences and as a professional how difficult it can be to exist in a world that was not built for you. This being said, please remember that although working through these thoughts and feelings about your identity can be scary: THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH YOU.

DISABILITY JUSTICE

Disability justice is at the center of my practice. I not only welcome, but enjoy working with neurodivergent people of all ages, especially those who are newly diagnosed or exploring this aspect of their identity. I also welcome those who are existing with a disability. Let’s talk about the struggles you face and ways to make life just a little gentler for you. Regardless of the challenges you face, big or small, our sessions will incorporate discussions of justice and liberation principles. ( And many times that means screaming, crying, and ranting about the world together.)

KIDS & TEENS, GENDER IDENTITY & DIVERSITY

I find great joy working with kids and teens, especially those who identify as trans / non-binary / gender diverse. It’s hard growing up, figuring out who you are and your place in the world. I can be there for you as you work through this part of your life as a support person and confidant. Every day it gets harder to hear about the current trends in health policy, so let me be extremely clear: my ethics will not change; you are radically safe with me.

I try to be as genuine and candid as possible in the therapy room. I want therapy with me to be affirming and celebratory; we all need more spaces like that in life. I often laugh with my clients, ask tough questions, and work with you to figure out what is needed most in the moment (Support or Solutions? IYKYK). I recognize that I will never know your life the way that you do, and you will always be the expert.

Casey Outside of the Therapy Room:

Outside of sessions you can find me hanging out with my wife and two cats, building Legos, and watching weird documentaries.
